Embark on a thrilling 3-day, 2-night safari exploring the wildlife-rich Tsavo East National Park and the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge in Taita Hills Sanctuary. Your adventure begins in Tsavo East, one of Kenya’s largest and oldest parks, famous for its red elephants, vast savannahs, and the scenic Galana River. Enjoy exciting game drives as you search for lions, buffalo, giraffes, and more in their natural habitat.

On the second day, journey to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, where you'll stay at the unique Salt Lick Safari Lodge—renowned for its stilted architecture overlooking a busy waterhole frequented by wildlife. Witness up-close animal encounters right from your room or the viewing deck.

The safari concludes with a morning game drive in the sanctuary before heading back. This tour offers the perfect mix of wild adventure and comfort, ideal for travelers seeking a short yet immersive Kenyan safari experience.

Pick up from the hotel at around 6.00 am driving along Mombasa- Nairobi highway and a stop for coffee and short calls along the way. Proceed for 6 kms to Tsavo East (The largest park in Kenya which covers an area of 13,747 km2) and arrive at Bachuma. Begin the game drive en route to Aruba dam (A water hole where animals come to drink water). Physical attractions include Tsavo River, Yatta Plateau which is 300 km2, Mdanda Rock, Lugard Falls, Voi seasonal River and Aruba dam. You have also a chance to see animals such as red elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetah, and giraffes. Proceed with the game drive to your lodge where you will check in at around 12.30 pm to 1.00 pm. Have lunch and relax till 4.00 pm after which you will start another game drive till 6.30 pm then back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up at around 5.30 am, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Tsavo from early morning hunting. Back to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 8.30 am followed by the last game drive and depart to Taita Hills salt lick driving through a distance of 80 kms. Arrive early afternoon, check in at Taita Hills Game Lodge where you will have your lunch. Depart at around 2.30 pm to Sarova Salt Lick where you will have a chance to see animals at the water hole, while at Sarova Salt Lick Lodge. Proceed for another game drive at 4.00 pm until 6.30 pm. Physical attractions include thorny bushes, acacia forests, arid and savannah, swamp andTaita hills among others. Animals found here include elephants, lions, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, and many different types of birds such as ostriches, horny bills, guinea fowls, kingfishers and weaver birds. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Salt lick lodge.

Wake up at around 5.30 am, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Taita Hills. Back to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 8.30 am followed by the last game drive and lunch at Voi town or on the way. Drive back to your hotel arriving late in the afternoon.
